Why a tilt tray instead of a hook tow
A conventional tow truck lifts one end of the car and drags the other along the road. That's fine for some vehicles, but it can damage all wheel drives, automatics, lowered cars and anything with a long front overhang.
A tilt tray tips the whole deck down to the ground. The vehicle is winched or driven up onto a flat tray, then chained down at the wheels so the body and suspension are never stressed.
How I load your car
I check the vehicle first: ride height, overhang, whether it rolls, whether the steering locks. Low cars get a gentler loading angle. Non runners are winched slowly with someone steering where possible.
Once it is on the tray, it is secured at the wheels, not the body. You can ride with me in the cab if there is room, or meet me at the drop off.
