It depends on the pick-up location, the drop off, the vehicle and the time of day. Call 0424 966 333 and I'll give you a straight price before I set off.
Are you open 24 hours?
Yes. Riviera Towing is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
Who will answer the phone?
Me, the driver. Riviera Towing is owner operated, so there's no call centre.
Can I ride in the truck?
Usually, yes, if there is a spare seat in the cab. Ask when you call.
Will you tow an unregistered car?
Yes. On a tilt tray the vehicle is carried, not towed on its wheels, so it does not need to be registered.
How far will you go?
I cover East Gippsland, Gippsland, Melbourne and regional Victoria. Interstate is available by arrangement.
What can't you tow?
Anything over the truck's size or weight capacity, or recoveries that need a heavy recovery rig. If it's not me, I'll tell you who to call.
Are you insured?
Yes. Riviera Towing is fully insured.
Can you tow my car if it still rolls?
I'll winch it onto the tilt tray and drop it where you want: workshop, home, depot, panel beater.
Can you recover a vehicle bogged in a paddock, beach or bush track?
I'll come and pull it out. Sand, mud, river crossing gone wrong, bring photos if you can.
What if my car won't start in a carpark?
Same job. Flat battery, blown engine, snapped belt, doesn't matter. We load it flat and go.
Do you handle accident recovery when a vehicle has rolled or left the road?
Send me a photo. I'll tell you straight whether it's me or a heavy recovery operator. No mucking around.
Can you move an unregistered or project car?
Fine. Tilt tray means no wheels on the ground, happy to move anything from a barn find to a track car.
Do you transport machinery like mini excavators, ride on mowers and forklifts?
Mini ex, ride on mower, forklift, ATV. If it fits on the tray and we can load it safely, it's a job.
